How can you support vulnerable children and adults in Malawi?

SSWIM (Supporting Social Work In Malawi) is working hard to help the country train a strong professional group of qualified social workers who can offer the highest standards of care to those in need such as orphaned and abandoned children, people with mental health difficulties, people with disabilities and struggling communities.

SSWIM is currently the main project of the registered charity Children and Families International Foundation. We are entirely dependent on donations from individuals and small grants to provide our services. All of our members give their time and expertise free but we need funds to support our volunteers to go out to Malawi and work  with colleagues in the country.

SSWIM’s recent focus has also been on promoting and supporting the development of indigenous social work resources, particularly books for social workers in Malawi written by practitioners and academics in Malawi, featuring examples of challenges and responses actually existing in Malawi.

Please consider setting up a Standing Order
